Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 6, 2026
Welcome to AppAudit.dev ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through compliance with this policy. This statement outlines our practices regarding data collection, browser storage, and third-party integrations.
1. Information We Collect
AppAudit.dev is an open software review repository and developer utility platform engineered for transparency. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) like names or personal emails.
2. Local Storage Usage (Tech Stack Feature)
We utilize client-side browser storage (localStorage under the key appaudit_stack) to allow users to save software items to their personal "Tech Stack" drawer and execute side-by-side comparisons.
- This data is stored purely on your local device.
- It is never transmitted to or processed by our server backend.
- You can clear this storage anytime by clicking "Clear All" in the Tech Stack menu or clearing your browser site data.
3. Third-Party Analytics
We use Google Analytics (tag identifier G-WSCC7KQPF9) to monitor anonymous traffic trends, aggregate usage patterns, and system metrics. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior data in anonymous form.
For more details, visit Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Outbound Links & External Downloads
Our detail pages contain direct outbound links to external software repositories, vendor sites, Wikidata entities, and Zenodo records. AppAudit.dev does not host third-party binary installers directly and is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy policies of external third-party sites.
5. Linked Open Data (LOD) & Open APIs
All machine-readable data feeds (including raw JSON APIs, Schema.org markups, RDF Turtle dumps, and Wikidata QID mappings) served via /lod/dump represent public software repository metadata and contain no personal data.
6. Contact Information
If you have any questions or feedback regarding this Privacy Policy or platform compliance, you can contact the project maintainers directly at [email protected].
